For the Ouroboros design, a photographic, three-dimensional supermoon slowly goes into and out of a blood moon eclipse over the entire duration of the set. During the central song, a crescendo takes visual form as rays of light grow and extend around the sublime blood moon.

For the psychedelic portion of the show, I collaborated with Drippy Eye Projections to create a layered, evolving liquid light show. The oils were filmed at high speed and played in slow motion. In both designs, the organic forms set against the LED structure presented a compelling contrast; digital and analog in harmony.

Set against the backdrop of a giant moon that changed with nearly every song — from a luminescent white to a deep Mars red to an oily marble rainbow — LaMontagne and My Morning Jacket performed the entirety of Ouroboros in sequence. The songs stretched out for years, reaching beyond this life and into the next. This is his Dark Side of the Moon, and even sans drugs, it elicits a calm, mesmerizing, and peaceful high. – Angel Melendez, Miami New Times
