When Everyone Tries To Evolve, Nothing Negative Is Safe.
The concept, designed by Sarah Landau, was a bright, colorful set with lighting structures that would reference arena floodlights with a neon astroturf tennis court, and the band chose the colors. Tukker's instrument table, the risers, and the stairs would all glow. Their video screen musical instrument "tree" from the previous tours turned into a scoreboard, where they can play games with each other and the crowd, keeping scores during the set.
I oversaw the creative departments, including the direction and final development of the video content — incorporating 2D assets shot by Edward Copesick and 3D assets designed by 2n to create vibrant, collage-like compositions that set the tone of the shows.
The Wet Tennis Open is now competing everywhere.
